Wilma Joe Byrd

Wilma Joe Byrd passed away Tuesday November 21st at the age of 86. She was born May 18, 1931 at Chappel Texas to Shelby “Buck” and Bernice Millican. Wilma attended school at Bend and later graduated from Lampasas High School. She was married to John Richard Byrd and was a member of Church of God the Eternal. Wilma was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, farming, and most of all her family. She was preceded in death by her husband John, and her parents. Wilma is survived by her children, grand children, and great grandchildren. They include children Cathy Bob Dawson of Alaska, Bo and Red Hooten of Eldorado, Carolyn Kermit Mahanay of Junction, Paula Kothman of Menard, Jon and Christine Byrd of Bend, and Pam Hurt of Lometa. Grandchildren include Joe Pete Smith and Wife Dana, Jodie Dockey and Husband Dan, Amy Gray and husband Mark, Cody Reavis and wife Katie, Michael Allen, Stephen Byrd, PK Sanchez, Mat Hurt, and Cindy Hurt. Wilma’s Great Grandchildren include Daylan & Lynnle Smith, Kotie & Taylor Dockery, Kinly & Cooper Gray, Piper Reavis, Kloe Kothman, and Misty Allen.
