Lieutenant Colonel William P. Williams, USAF, Retired, 83, of Kempner, passed away on November 4th, 2013.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 8, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Copperas Cove. Interment will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, with full Military Honors.
Bill Williams was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in England. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force in Paris, France, in September 1947, at the age of seventeen. His 25-year career in the U.S. Air Force was followed by leadership positions in the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Civil Air Patrol. He met the love of his life, Bernice Hudson, in Alexandria, Louisiana and they shared 59 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife Bernice, daughter Glynda Lucas and husband Rich; son Philip Williams; son David Williams and wife Carol. He is also survived by his granddaughters Laura Galipeau and Karen Howard and husband Brandon, as well as his grandson Sage Williams and great-granddaughter Morgan Galipeau. He is survived by one sister, Alice Robinson.
