William Casey

Private family services are being held for Retired SFC. William C. Casey, 81 of Copperas Cove with Full Military Honors. Chaplain Ralph McCulloh will be officiating. Mr. Casey passed away Monday morning October 18, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born January 18, 1929, in Ladonia, Texas to the union of Columbus Durham Casey and Vada Mae Melville Casey. He married Hildegard Germann in Bamberg, Germany on May 22, 1954. She preceded him in death on April 29, 2008. He served 24 years in the United States Army. His medals include: Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Bronze Star Medal; Armor Badge; Good Conduct Medal Clasp, Bronze, 5 loops; Expert in both Rifle and Pistol. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Loving Family: Daughter, Maria McInerney of Lampasas, Texas Daughter, Ann Casey of Temple, Texas Son, John Henry Casey of Copperas Cove, Texas Son, Kenneth Charles Casey of Copperas Cove, Texas Three Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Casey and Vada Mae Casey, his wife, Hildegard Casey, and one sister. Sheppard Funeral Home in Copperas Cove are in charge of the arrangements.
