Wendell Scott Feild, 73, passed away on September 4, 2024, at his home, in Kempner, Texas. He was born on September 5, 1950, in Lampasas, Texas to Wendell McGuire and Dorcilla Francile Feild.
A visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Third St, Lampasas, TX, 76550 from 3 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Scott grew up in Lampasas, Texas. He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1969. After high school, he studied at Central Texas College and dedicated the next 32 years to the Fort Hood Fire Department, serving as station Captain for many years.
Scott married Mary Catherine in 1982 and they were happily married for 41 years. Scott was an avid outdoorsman and his best memories included hunting with his son, Justin on the King Ranch and sharing the love of the outdoors with his grandchildren. He won numerous awards for the deer he harvested and was a published author in the Texas Trophy Hunter magazine.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Cathy Feild.
Scott is survived by his son, Justin (Alexandra) Feild; his grandchildren, Paige, Brooke, and Logan Feild; his siblings, Craig (Nadine) Feild, Connie Loveall; his stepdaughter, Catherine (Keith) Cole; his beloved red heeler, Cooper and numerous nieces and nephews.
