Wayne Faught

Wayne Faught, 90, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Lampasas, Texas.  He was born on October 20, 1933, in Nix, TX to Floyd and Ethel (Wright) Faught.

Graveside services will be held at Nix Cemetery on Sunday, July 14 at 2 pm.  

Wayne lived in the Nix Community his entire life.  He married Clara Ferguson in 1956 in Lampasas.  The couple had just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on July 8th. Wayne worked in the pecan bottoms with his family in his younger years.  He was also a County Commissioner, worked in construction, and was a cattle rancher.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ethel Faught; his daughter, Angie Faught; his son, Kirk Faught and his brothers, Ray Faught and Joe Faught.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Clara of Lampasas; his siblings, June Burns of Lampasas, Robert Faught (Jan) of Kerrville, Doug Faught of Lampasas, LaDell Faught of Lampasas and Jenell Porter (Jerry) of Lampasas; his grandchildren, Crystal Sterling (Weldon), Windy Williams (Jarrett) and Shelby Brizandine (Brady); his great-grandchildren, Kippy, Topper, Tinsley, Taylee, Tripp, and Briar; Nancy Faught, and his many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
