Wanda Marie Storm

January 4, 1924 — February 11, 2020

The Lord answered the prayers of Wanda Marie (Fowler) Storm and she made the transition to her heavenly home on February 11, 2020. She was born January 4, 1924 to parents Ernest Fowler and Ada (Chambers) Fowler in Izoro, Texas. Wanda attended and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1941, where she played on the varsity basketball team. She married her high school sweetheart, Norman Storm in 1942 during World War II and they were married 55 years until Norman’s death in 1997. God blessed them with three children; Ronald Gene, Marcia Gail and Steven Layne. Wanda lived through the Great Depression and World War II. She could drive a tractor and was an amazing seamstress that could sew or crochet anything. She worked for a time as a telephone switchboard operator. She was a loving wife and amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother who was loved by all. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Wallace and husband B.R. “Skipper”, son, Steven Storm and wife Christine 5 grandchildren; Natalie Wallace Bennett, Kristine Jacob and husband Brian, Audrey Lindner, Courtney Storm and Travis Storm 10 great-grandchildren; Alexander Bennett, Nathaniel Bennett, Elizabeth Bennett, Benjamin Jacob, Hailey Jacob, John Ryleigh Lindner, Piper Lindner, Braxton Jacob, Kallie Lindner and Corbyn Storm. Brother, Charles A. Fowler and Sister Ernestine Farquharson.   Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, by husband, 3 siblings and by her son, Ronald Gene Storm.   Funeral service will be Friday February 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the funeral.   In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to First United Methodist Church (Youth and Children’s Programs) 2 Alexander Dr. Lampasas, TX 76550.
