Vivian Elizabeth Blackwell, 98 of Belton, TX died Saturday January 13, 2018 at Creekside Terrace in Belton. Vivian was born September 8, 1919 in Coryell County, TX the daughter of James Lorenza Gault and Mattie Pearl (Godman) Gault. She finished school in the Elijah Community and soon after met and married Claud Newton Blackwell. They were married over 60 years when he passed away in 2001. She worked on the farm for many years with the family and later worked in the farm equipment business and service station business. She also conducted surveys in Austin while living there. Later she was employed by a newspaper in Arkansas. She was a Jehovah’s Witness for 60 years. Vivian was an exceptional cook and seamstress as well. Vivian’s body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Killeen, TX Saturday January 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Survivors include 2 daughters; Karen Camman of Salado and Claudia Jarma of Killeen 2 sons; Dean Blackwell of Austin and James Blackwell of Colorado Springs, CO 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and by 5 brothers; Joe, Bill, Frank, R.E. and an infant brother, and by one grandchild.
