Timothy Alan King, 68, passed away on March 28, 2025, in Lampasas, Texas. He was born on February 5, 1957, in Bellville, Texas, to T. Irving King Jr. and Margie Whitman King.
Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery on HWY 1431 East in Marble Falls, Texas, on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the cemetery chapel prior to the service, where family will greet friends and relatives. Burial will follow.
Timothy grew up in various towns in South Texas, where his father was a minister, and they relocated many times. He attended Central High School in San Angelo, but moved to San Antonio in his senior year, where he graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1975.
After high school, he attended Angelo State University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was a proud member of the ASU Golden Ram Band. He continued with pursuit of a Master's Degree with a goal of teaching. Timothy was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Mu Alpha.
Timothy joined the US Navy Reserves and served until 1993 when he was discharged. He moved to Lampasas at that time and resided there until 2018, when he moved to Horseshoe Bay to be near his sister to help with his care. While living in Lampasas, Tim had several jobs, but he was most proud of his 13 years as a Walmart employee. He retired in 2018.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Martha Logan, and her husband Brad of Cottonwood Shores; his brother, Philip King of Horseshoe Bay; his nephew, Ian Logan and his wife Katie of Granite Shoals; and his niece, Paige Logan Taylor and her husband Jacob of Georgetown. Timothy is also survived by his grand nephew, Sean Childers, and wife Amber of Lampasas; grand niece Audrey Taylor; grand nephew Liam Taylor; and great-grandnephew Deakon Don Childers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Pleasant Valley Cemetery, PO Box 1251, Marble Falls, TX, 78654.
