Thomas Edward Brooks

Thomas Edward Brooks, 67 of Lampasas, Texas died Tuesday July 22, 2019 at Spring Oaks Nursing and Rehab. He was born March 23, 1952 in Harpersville, AL to parents Virgil Edward Brooks and Doris Juliette (Looney) Brooks. He lived there until 1973. He joined the military and retired as SSG in the U.S. Army. He loved cats and dogs and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he sang bass. He is survived by his daughter, Julie Brooks McCoy of Weatherford Son, Joseph Brooks of Lampasas 3 grandsons; Joseph McCoy, Oren McCoy, Jacoby McCoy Coffman. Sister, Rose Mary Brasher Brother, Bobby Brooks of Harpersville, AL Numerous nieces and nephews Mother of his children, Elaine Brooks   He was preceded in death by his parents, a niece and a granddaughter, and by a wife Sherry Biggs Brooks   A memorial service will be held Monday August 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.   Thomas’ body will be cremated.
