THOMAS WILLIAM BADER WAS BORN FEBRUARY 8, 1931 IN LYNDON STATION WISCONSIN TO WILLIAM DAY AND ROSETTA VIRGINIA CLARK BADER. THOMAS DIED JANUARY 5, 2012 IN TEMPLE, TEXAS AT THE AGE OF 80. HE MARRIED WILMA JOYCE GISH AUGUST 4, 1951 IN SHAWNEETOWN, ILLINOIS. THOMAS SERVED WITH THE US ARMY AND RETIRED AS A SFC MAY 31, 1973. HE SERVED IN KOREA AND VIETNAM. HIS DECORATIONS INCLUDE THE NATIONAL DEFENSE MEDAL W/1 OAK LEAF CLUSTER, VIETNAM SERVICE MEDAL W/3 BRONZE SERVICE STARS, VIETNAM CAMPAIGN MEDAL W60 DEVICE, BRONZE STAR MEDAL, ARMED FORCES EXPEDITIONARY MEDAL, 2 OVER SEAS BARS, ARMY COMMENDATION MEDAL. HE WORKED FOR FIRST NATIONAL BANK IN KILLEEN, TEXAS FOR TEN YEARS AND RETIRED FROM SCOTT AND WHITE HOSPITAL IN COMPUTER SYSTEMS. HE WAS A MEMBER OF GRACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN COPPERAS COVE, TEXAS. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE JOYCE BADER OF COPPERAS COVE, TEXAS DAUGHTER MARILYN APONTE OF COPPERAS COVE, TEXAS SON STEVEN THOMAS BADER AND WIFE MICHELLE OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS GRANDCHILDREN JASON BADER, ISIAH APONTE, AMBER APONTE. SISTER-IN-LAW BETTY BADER OF MAUSTON, WISCONSIN NEPHEWS RICHARD ALLEN BADER OF MAUSTON, WISCONSIN AND KENNETH BADER OF MAUSTON, WISCONSIN. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS WILLIAM DAY AND ROSETTA VIRGINIA CLARK BADER BROTHER JOHN BADER; SISTER; FLORENCE DOWNING; NEPHEW JOHN BADER JR. MEMORIAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD 10:30 AM FRIDAY JANUARY 13, 2012 AT GRACE UNITED METODIST CHURCH WITH REV. STEPHEN SCHMIDT OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT CENTRAL TEXAS STATE VETERANS CEMETERY IN KILLEEN AT NOON WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS MEMORIALS MAY BE MADE TO GRACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.
