Thelma M. Black, 92, of Copperas Cove passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Memorial services will be held for Thelma on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Copperas Cove at 1:00 p.m.
Thelma was born on June 1, 1922 in Springfield, Mass to the late Oscar and Amy Rivers. She attended school in Springfield and later married Norman Black in 1942. She moved to Copperas Cove in July of 1990 to be closer to family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a granddaughter, Theresa Grady Gregersen.
She is survived by her daughters, Noreen Gregersen, Viviana Black; sons, Donald Black and wife Mickey, Paul and wife Yvonne; grandchildren, Debra Gregersen, Karen James; great grandchildren, Starr Grady, Tanis James; sisters, Beverley Rivers, Florence Nolan; and a brother, Robert Rivers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Killeen Cove Hood Special Olympics, P.O. Box 1203, Killeen, TX 76540.
