MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR MRS. TAKEYO 'TONI' OHTOMO PENNOCK, 73, OF COPPERAS COVE ARE SCHEDULED FOR 10:00A.M., SATURDAY DECEMBER 4, 2010 AT THE SHEPPARD CHAPEL OF MEMORIES WITH MINISTER CARL E. GOAD OFFICIATING. SHE PASSED AWAY AT HOME, PEACEFULLY AND SURROUNDED BY HER FAMILY ON NOVEMBER 26, 2010. INTERMENT WILL BE AT 1:00P.M., MONDAY DECEMBER 6, 2010 AT THE CENTRAL TEXAS STATE VETERANS CEMETERY IN KILLEEN. SHE WAS BORN ON MAY 18, 1937 IN SENDAI, JAPAN. SHE MARRIED WALTER PENNOCK ON DECEMBER 7, 1959 IN SAPPORO, JAPAN. THEY HAD BEEN MARRIED 51 YEARS. SHE ENJOYED TRAVELING WITH HER HUSBAND, "HOLDING ON AND GOING THROUGH LIFE TOGETHER" AND HAD VISITED ALL 50 STATES. SHE WAS A LIFE-TIME MEMBER OF THE JAPANESE LADIES CLUB AND A BELOVED MEMAW TO EVERYONE. WE WOULD LIKE HER TO BE REMEMBERED FOR HER UNSELFISH GENEROSITY AND FOR HER MANY ANONYMOUS DONATIONS OF HAND- CROCHETED LAP BLANKETS TO THE LOCAL NURSING HOMES. SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER LOVING HUSBAND, WALTER PENNOCK OF COPPERAS COVE, TEXAS DAUGHTER, BONNIE BALL AND HER HUSBAND STEPHEN OF RICHMOND, TEXAS DAUGHTER, LORNA MOSES AND HER HUSBAND DUANE OF KEMPNER, TEXAS DAUGHTER, HELEN O'DANIEL OF PRINEVILLE, OREGON SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN, TRAVIS BALL AND HIS WIFE KIRSTEN (WHO ARE EXPECTING THE FIRST GREAT-GRANDCHILD IN JULY), STEPHANIE BALL, ASHLEY MOSES, ETHAN MOSES, MACIE MOSES, SEAN O'DANIEL, AND CHEYENNE O'DANIEL. SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HER BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN JAPAN. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS, MANSHIRO AND HUMI OHTOMO.
