Tadeo-Nam Trinh, age 58, of Copperas Cove passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016. A Tridentine Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Scott’s Funeral Home with burial following at Copperas Cove City Cemetery. A Rosary and Mass will be held at 5 PM on Friday with a visitation after lasting until 7 PM at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.
Tadeo-Nam was born on April 23, 1958 in Saigon, Vietnam to Dong D. Trinh and Bich-Trung Vu. Later in life he served as the vice president of the 8T1 class of the Cao Thang Technical College in Saigon. In September of 1975 he immigrated to Kansas City, MO to escape the fall of Vietnam. Nam received an associate’s degree from Donnelly College in 1977. His passion for flying led him to earning his pilot’s license in the 1980’s. With that he would go on to volunteer as a pilot for the Civil Air Patrol and also as an instructor for the AirForce Junior ROCT, KS-931, Washington High School, Kansas City. Nam also worked in the IT department for the North Kansas City School District. In 2015, Nam made the move to Copperas Cove, Texas to assist in the building of the Sacred Heart Chapel as the coordinator. He was the 2nd eldest of six children.
Tadeo-Nam was preceded in death by his father, Joseph-Dong D. Trinh; sister, Dr. Lan Nguyen.
Tadeo-Nam is survived by his wife, MongLy Trinh; his daughters, Christina Yen-Nam and Nicole Van-Nam; his son, Peter Nguyen; his mother, Mrs. Bich-Trung Vu; his brothers, Most Rev. Mgr. Anton-Thai Trinh, Mr. An Trinh and wife, Thao Tonnu; his sisters, Dr. Thuy Nguyen, and husband Lawrence, Ms. Mai Trinh; his nieces, Rachel Fine, Quynh Trinh; his nephews, Quang Mather, Rory-Vu Mather, Tuan Mather, Minh Mather, Dang Trinh, Luke-Bao Trinh; his brother in-law, Anh Mather.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SFTCC at C/o Sacred Heart Chapel, 303 Hunter John Drive Copperas Cove, TX 76522.
