Susie Hanson, 70, passed away on August 22, 2023, at her temporary home in Lampasas, Texas.  She was born on July 27, 1953, in Odessa, Texas to James and Margaret (True) Pittinger.

A Celebration of Life for Susie will be held at Grace Fellowship Church in Lampasas, Texas on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 4 pm with a visitation an hour prior.  The family invites you to join them in celebration of memories of Susie "Nana" with a fellowship meal.  Burial will be private.

Susie grew up in Odessa, Texas and moved to Fort Worth in 1967.  She attended Richland High School in Fort Worth, Texas.  After high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Steven Hanson, in 1970 in Fort Worth, Texas.  They were happily married for 50+ years.  Susie was a homemaker and enjoyed being involved in her local church and volunteering in the school system.  Later in life, she attended Temple College and made a career in the golf industry as membership director.  She enjoyed her grandchildren, singing, traveling, painting and playing golf.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James Herbert Pittinger and Alan Pittinger.

Susie is survived by her spouse, Steven Hanson of Lampasas, Texas; her son, Chris (Rachel) Hanson of Corinth, Texas; her daughter, Jeni (Travis) Clark of Lampasas, Texas; her son, Andrew (Cassie) Hanson of Granbury, Texas; her grandchildren, Lauren (Chris) Pontes, Carter Hanson, Landry Hanson, Dakota Hanson, Javan Shearon, Naeveh Shearon, Emma Clark, Hudson Clark, Kennedy Clark; her mother-in-law, Jerry Hanson and many other close family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Childrens Building Fund at Grace Fellowship Church in Lampasas, Texas.
