Steven Halbach

Steven Craig Halbach, age 70, ascended to Heaven on December 6, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.

Steven was born on November 22, 1948, in Oakland California. He was the son of Jual & Lucille Garcia Halbach. He graduated from SLZ High in 1968. Steven happily married Shirley M. Mora on September 23, 1972. They went on to have two children and being happily married for 46 years. Steve worked as a truck driver for 15 years, then retired from the Teamsters and went on to build his own business as an electrician, then retired in 2015. They picked up and moved lock stock and barrel to Texas to be with his family.

His favorite things to do were woodworking and spelunking in caves. Camping and hunting were also one of his most enjoyable times. Most of all, having his family around, going to the movies and family parties is what he enjoyed the most.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Halbach; daughters, Rustie Garcia and husband, Joe, Lisa Halbach; son, Scott Halbach and wife, Jessica; grandchildren,  Mary Allysa & Willie, Alex , Devon, Sierra, Isaiah, Nevaeh, Nicholas; and his great-grandchildren, Willie Jr., Bently, & Jordyn Isabella Marie Ragin.
