Sheryl Layne Dunlap

Sheryl Layne Dunlap, beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023.

Sheryl became an LVN in 1971 and then earned her RN degree in 1982.  She worked as an RN in the field of Home Health Nursing until 2004 when she retired due to health reasons.  Sheryl was an excellent RN and greatly enjoyed visiting her patients in their homes.

Sheryl is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bobby Dunlap; her daughter, Melissa Buchanan and husband Jeff; her granddaughter, Brooklyn Buchanan; grandson, Blake Buchanan; sister, Susan Harrison and husband Bo; niece, Heather Harrison and husband Matt; nephews, Ryan Harrison and partner Rachel White, Cullen Harrison and wife Megan and several great nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her best friends, Kathy Moss, Judy Schroeder and Bernadine Kubiak and her very special first cousins, Margaret Sargent, Jane Plante, Mike McCoy, Gene Steakley, Dan Steakley and Zollie Steakley.

Sheryl never met a stranger and was loved by all.

Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 10-11 am with graveside services to follow at Townsen Cemetery in Adamsville at 12:30 pm.
