Buster Tynes, 77, of Copperas Cove passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015. Graveside Services will be at 12 Noon on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 at Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.

Buster was born on May 25, 1938 to the late Joseph and Ruby Wakefield Tynes in Waco, Texas. After high school he joined the United States Marines and served for 20 years. He earned many awards including two Purple Hearts. In 1965 he married Sharon Vargason in California while he was stationed there. After his retirement with the Marines, Buster worked another 20 years with TXdot retiring in 1999 from the Eastland office. Buster will be remembered as a true Patriot, loving husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Eugene Alan Tynes; 7 sisters and 2 brothers.

Buster is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Sharon Tynes; sons, Kevin Lee Tynes, Stephen Joseph Tynes and wife, Katia; daughters, Nancy Jo Speegle, Trish Linnan and husband, Michael; brother, John Tynes; sister, Jeanette Doran; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
