Savannah Marie Lewis, of Copperas Cove, was granted her wings on January 2, 2018. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Savannah has touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the Christian House of Prayer in Copperas Cove, with Pastor Amanda Sudbury officiating.
Savannah was born on October 12, 2001, in Fort Carson, Colorado. She was a sophomore at Copperas Cove High School and was an avid music lover. Savannah’s greatest hero was her dad. He was her rock and support during her journey with a rare form of Ewing’s Sarcoma that began in September of 2016.
Savannah is survived by her father, David Lewis; sister, Olivia; grandparents, Jimmy Don and Melanie Lewis. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
So fly with the angels our sweet child and forever 16, #SAVANNAHSTRONG.
In lieu of flowers, Savannah and her family request memorials be made to the Pink Warrior Angels (www.pinkwarriorangels.org), St. Jude’s Hospital (www.stjudes.org), or McLane’s Children’s Hospital (www.swchildrens.org) in her memory.
