Roland Corbin, age 81 of Lampasas, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 in Killeen.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, January 23, 2015, from 9:30 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. at the Nix Community Center, with Dr. Ricky Machen officiating. Interment will follow at the Nix Cemetery.
Mr. Corbin was born on November 16, 1933 in Lampasas to William Henry "Buck" and Josephine Culbertson Corbin. He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1951. He was a brick mason and worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 36 years. He married Avilla Pearl Machen on August 16, 1958 and she preceded him in death in June of 2011. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, William Sterling Corbin.
He is survived by a daughter, Ronda Martin and son-in-law, Rick; son, Casey Corbin and wife Joy Beth; 6 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Makayla and Makenna Martin and Kloe, Kamri and Kash Corbin; brother, Gladden Corbin and wife Marlene; sister-in-law, Sharon Moore and husband Buddy; brother-in-laws, Alfred Machen and wife Bobbye and Clifford Machen; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
