Roger Williams

Roger D. Williams, age 70 of Copperas Cove, passed away on the evening of September 15, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Viss Family Funeral Home, 1614 S. FM 116 Copperas Cove, Texas with Pat Swanner of Refugee Ministries officiating. Burial will follow at Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7 pm, Monday, September 19, 2022, at Viss Family Funeral Home.

Roger was born in Fort Knox Kentucky on October 17th, 1951 to John and Ella Williams. He went to school at Copperas Cove high school class of 1969. He married Jeanette McClellan on July 20th, 1974 in Copperas Cove. He worked as a machinist for Reynolds’s Temple for 40 years.

He was a member of the Copperas Cove Golf Association.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ella Williams; his two brothers, Dexter and Charles Williams; his father-in-law, Eugene McClellan; brother-in-law, Ralph McClellan; niece, Stephanie McClellan; nephew, Ryan McClellan; and two grandchildren, Judge and Kaitlyn Thomas.

Roger is survived by his wife, Jeanette Williams; son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Pamela Williams; his daughter and son-in-law Brett and Jamie Thomas; grandchildren, Sloan Thomas, Crystal and Brandon Williams; his brother, Anthony Williams and his wife Kathleen Williams and Malcom Williams and his wife Debbie Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Bryan Williams, Brandon Williams, Anthony Williams, Malcom Williams, Brett Thomas, and Dardy McClellan.
