Robin Lancaster, 82, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas. She was born on February 23, 1942, in El Paso, Texas to Robert and Ruth (Dyer) Price.
A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Third St, Lampasas, TX, 76550 at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7 with visitation an hour prior. Lunch following the service will be provided at School Creek Baptist Church, 11228 County Road 3420, Lampasas, TX, 76550.
Robin grew up in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from Austin High School in El Paso. After high school, she attended and graduated from the University of Texas El Paso and was a Miner fan her entire life. She then moved to Austin and worked for Austin Independent School District as a Homebound Teacher where she provided general education to students who were confined to their home and taught terminally ill students. She specialized in Secondary Education across all subjects and foreign languages. She retired in 2000 after 30 years of teaching.
Robin married David Allan Lancaster in 1984 in Austin, Texas. They were happily married for 40 years until her passing. Robin was an active member of the School Creek Baptist Church and sang in the choir, and volunteered at the Lampasas Mission. She was an avid daily reader of the Bible and read through it each year for 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her large family, including 6 children, 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Robin was active in her local book club and attended retired teacher activities here in Lampasas. One of her favorite things to do in the summer was to travel with David in their Volkswagen Camper Van all over the United States and Canada, where they spent time in the mountains, trout fishing, and spending time with family in Missoula. She loved watching Jeopardy and could beat anyone around her.
Robin was preceded in death by her father, Robert Edmond Price, Jr., her mother, Ruth Dyer Price Fisher, and her sons, Raymond Lee Fuller and Robert Wayne Fuller.
Robin is survived by her spouse, David of Lampasas, Texas; her daughter, Kim Hatton of Lampasas, Texas; her step-daughters, Amy (Eric) Painter and Lisa Waddington of Temple, Texas; her step-son, David Earl (Shannon) Lancaster of Liberty Hill, Texas; her brothers, Robert Edmond Price III of Galva, Kansas and Clyde McCurdy Price of Alexandria, Virginia; her grandchildren, Doug, Jamie, Randy, Alex, Stevie, Kate, Mary Shae, Nick, Matthew, Thomas, Timothy; her great-grandchildren, Emery, Faelyn, Joshua, Indiana and her nieces, nephews and other relatives.
