Robert N. Winters, SSG USA (Ret.), age 71 of Copperas Cove, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in Killeen. Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Fairview Community Church, 1202 Veterans Ave in Copperas Cove.
Robert was born on February 14, 2014 in Burlington, VT. He grew up and went to school in Vermont. He graduated from Spaulding High School in Barre, VT. He entered the Army and retired in 1990 as a Staff Sgt. He then went to work in Gatesville as a correctional officer until retiring in 2008 from the Hughes Unit. He was a very active member of Fairview Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sons, Brad Winters, Brant Winters, Brian Winters; daughter, Julie Johnson; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Cheyenne.
