Robert "Butch" Stewart, 79, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, in Lampasas.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church Lampasas on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 3 pm with a visitation an hour prior from 2 to 3 pm.
Butch was born in Bell County, TX to Paul F. Stewart and Ethel Faye Ballenger Stewart on January 18, 1944. When he was younger, he worked on a lot of ranches and worked as a mechanic then was the manager at the local Dodge dealership before going into business for himself opening up Stewart Sales until retiring. He was an avid hunter and fisher, loved to dance, and loved to host parties at his house where many well-known musicians joined in. He would do anything for anyone and was known to open up his house for many people who needed a place to stay. Butch was a big supporter of the community and was willing to help in any capacity. He was a great man who impacted many people's lives. He was also very set in his ways, was very stern, and was not afraid to speak his mind on what he believed in. Above all, Butch was a Christian and tried his best to live his life that way. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and teaching them the values of life and how to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna; his daughter, Jana Jackson; his brother, Kennith Stewart; his brothers-in-law, Larry Ellis, and Clark Dellis.
