Robbie Brundin

June 7, 1969 — February 24, 2013

Robbie L. Brundin, 43, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at her home in Ranger due to complications from Lupus. Graveside services will be at 12 noon on Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. There is no set time for visitation.

Robbie was born on June 7, 1969, in Gallup, New Mexico. She grew up in Lincoln, New Mexico, and later moving to California, graduating from Realto High School. After high school Robbie enlisted in the Army Reserves, where she met her husband of 23 years. They married March 1, 1990, in Huntington Park, California. Shortly after their marriage her husband returned to active duty, and she traveled with him as he served. Robbie was an active volunteer, serving in the Family Readiness Groups and in both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. Her dedication as a mother shaped the lives of her adoring children. Her thirst for knowledge led her to achieve an Associate's Degree from Central Texas College, being the first in her family to earn a degree. Robbie was avid reader and was always looking for new and intellectually stimulating subjects. Her drive to learn is a continuing source of inspiration in the lives of her children, who are her greatest legacy.

Robbie is survived by her husband Alec Robert Brundin; daughter, Lynda Victoria Brundin; son, Justin Nathaniel Brundin all of Ranger, Texas; parents, Roboham Ramirez Aragon and Lynda Bilyeu of San Felipe, BC Mexico.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Team Tarleton and Team Shade Chasers fundraising for the Lupus Foundation of America, North Texas Chapter, which can be found at: http://tinyurl.com/d98t8ny
