R.O. Greer III

R.O. Greer III, 65, of Lampasas, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Killeen, TX.

Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 10 am.

He was born on December 31, 1957, in Lampasas, Texas to R.O. Greer, Jr. and Billye Louise Greer.  He grew up in Lampasas and attended Lampasas High School.  After high school, he began a career in the construction industry where he continued to excel throughout his life.

In January 1978, his only son was born who soon became the light of his life.  He enjoyed playing his guitar, and hunting and fishing in his younger years.  He loved nothing more than to help others who were in need, he always saw the best in everyone and would have given anyone the shirt off his back.  He was loved by all who knew him.

R.O. was preceded in death by his parents, R.O. Jr, and Billye Greer; his sister, Rebecca Greer Bonnet and nephew, Kevin Connolly.

R.O. is survived by his son, Rowe Greer, and wife Sandy; his grandson, Gage, and Rush Greer; his sisters, Joan Greer Caskey, Jane Greer, Theresa Greer; his nephews, Clint Connolly and wife Adrian, Will Stephens and wife Audra, Micah Roberts and wife Marian, Nick Roberts and wife Jenny, T.J. Roberts and wife Michele, Corey Caskey and wife Amanda, Johnathan Caskey and Shelby Hudson; his nieces, Katie Voss and husband Jamie, Jennifer Bright and husband David and numerous cousins.
