Richard Paul Stockman

Richard Paul Stockman, 74, of Lampasas, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at his residence in Lampasas surrounded by his loving family.

Richard was born August 5, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas on Lackland Air Force Base to parents, Durward and Helen Stockman.  Richard was raised in Lampasas and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  Richard worked in education his entire career, first as a teacher in Lampasas then moving to Lometa ISD where he worked as a principal and retired as the Superintendent.  After retirement, Richard worked part-time as a teacher at San Saba and Lometa schools.  All together Richard worked in education for more than 30 years.

He was an avid golfer and loved to fish and all of his fishing trips were always a success.  Richard loved his pets, especially his dog, Harley.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Durward and Helen Stockman, and his brother, Donald Stockman.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Donna; son, Paul Stockman; granddaughter, Ashley Stockman; sisters, Shirley Johnson and Linda Hamlyn.
