Richard Spangler, 68, of Copperas Cove passed away on April 24, 2014 in a Killeen hospital. No services are scheduled at this time.
Richard was born on August 31, 1945 to the late Henry Richard and Nannie Belle Scarberry Spangler in Cashmere, West Virginia. He graduated from Petterstown High School of Petterstown, WV in 1963. He married Emma Louise Bankston on November 18, 1972 in North Ft. Myers, FL. They raised their family in South Central Florida before moving to Texas in 2009. Richard enjoyed trucking and spent 42 years in that industry before retiring in 2008.
Richard is survived by his wife, Emma Spangler; daughters, Casandra Ann Spangler, Melissa Lee Emmert and husband Gary; grandchildren, Megan, Joshua, Kimberly and Alisha; brother, David Spangler and wife Judy and sisters, Joyce Martin and Kitty Via and husband Charles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to an animal shelter of your choice or the ASPCA.
