Richard Patterson

Ric Patterson, age 62, of East Tawakoni, Texas passed away on April 10, 2015. A private family prayer service will be held at a later date.

Ric was born on March 27, 1953 in Batesville, Mississippi to John and Georgia (Jo) Hodges Patterson. After graduating from Diamond High in Anchorage, Alaska in 1971 he joined the United States Army. Ric served from 1972 to 1978 mostly in Germany. Ric served proudly and earned many awards and commendations for his honorable service. Later in life, Ric married Dallas Buxton in December of 1999. He was self employed as an MEP coordinator for commercial construction. Ric loved the outdoors, which may have come from his childhood memories of the Boy Scouts.

Ric was preceded in death by his father, John M. Patterson.

Ric is survived by his loving wife, Dallas Patterson; mother, Georgia (Jo) Patterson, children, Clark Patterson and wife, Kelly, Holly Creager and husband, Matt, Candace Anderson and husband, Craig, Kimberly Surratt and husband, Gordon, Susanna Hannon; brother, John Patterson and wife, Diana; sisters, Karen Patterson; and 14 grandchildren.
