Richard Hightower

Richard Hightower, 72 of Lometa, Texas died June 26, 2018 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. He was born November 12, 1945 in Lampasas, TX to Howard Knox Hightower and Ruby Hazel (Spivey) Hightower. Richard was drafted after he graduated from college at Tarleton, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. After 2 years in the Army he became a teacher and taught school for 31 years. He married Ginger Wagner in 1971 in Clyde, TX. He was a member of the Church of Christ. For the last 10 years Richard drove the local HOP bus. He is survived by his wife, Ginger Hightower 2 daughters; Crystal Hightower-Hicks Shannon Ramirez Granddaughter, Vivian Lenore Ramirez 2 sisters; Mary Marek and Donna Tanner   He was preceded in death by his parents.   Richard’s body will be cremated.
