Rebecca Del Carmen Carrion, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Copperas Cove on Friday, November 4th, 2016. She was born on December 9th, 1930 in the Republic of Panama. While working at the Panama Canal Zone, she fell in love with Army SFC Enrrique Carrion. The couple married on March 12th, 1962 and later relocated to Copperas Cove in 1971.
Rebecca was most happy when she was tending her garden, which contained many beautiful flowers and plants or in the kitchen preparing food for family and friends. Her delicious cooking, infused with love, will be missed by all.
Rebecca is survived by her five children, Mayra Koenig and her husband, Mark, Ovidio Tejedor, Rodrigo Tejedor and his wife, Rose, Rebecca Carrion, Antonio Carrion and his wife, Jessica; her grandchildren, Leticia Hunter, Brian Cossar, Bambina Tejedor, Kathy Doveno, Enrique Tejedor, Anthony T. Palmisano III, Lily Carrion, Mathew Field, and Landen Thomas; her three great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Enrrique, her infant son, Juancito, three brothers and one sister.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Rebecca touched are invited to the viewing on Tuesday, November, 8th from 5-7 PM at Scott’s Funeral Home, 1614 S FM 116, Copperas Cove and the Funeral Mass, which will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1001 Georgetown Rd. in Copperas Cove on Wednesday, November, 9th at 10 AM. Burial will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX
