Raymond Lee Masters, 78, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at his residence in Kempner, TX surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel. A Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 11 am with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Raymond was born July 26, 1943, in Valley Park, MO, and grew up in Missouri. He and his wife moved to North Carolina where he worked for Bristol Myers Squibb for 26 years before retiring. After retirement, they moved back to Missouri and in 2016 they moved to Texas to be closer to family. Raymond loved the beaches of North Carolina, and visiting Branson while living in Missouri, he enjoyed woodworking, laying brick, music of all types, especially Elvis. He also enjoyed his movies and had a huge collection.
Raymond was a very laid-back, fun-loving, carefree, and generous man who dearly loved his family and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Julie Masters; grandson, Jeremy Masters; two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Irene Masters; son, Jeffery Masters and wife, Rosemary; daughters, Diana Burgess, Lisa Marie Davis and husband, Larry Scott Davis; grandchildren, Anthony Burgess, Ashley Nichole Davis, Brittany Corson, Brendan Burgess, Kyle Davis, Ryan Davis, Camri Davis; great-grandchildren, Mia Corson, Aiden Corson, Blaine Davis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
