Randy Clark

Randall (Randy) Glenn Clark, 70, of Lampasas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023, in Austin, TX with his family by his side.

Randy was born March 29, 1952, in Florence, TX to Lawrence (Lum) and ZuElla Caskey Clark.  Randy loved music and learned how to play the guitar.  As a teenager, Randy led the music at the Church of Christ in Florence.  He graduated from Florence High School in 1970 and attended Central Texas College.

Randy married his high school sweetheart, Sherri Juby, on January 18, 1974.  The two were life-long companions and best friends.  They were blessed with one child: Travis Clark.

Randy worked in construction and played in a band.  He later began his career working for the City of Lampasas as the Building Official and later Director of Public Works.  He was with the city for 28 years and was known for his knowledge of the city, attention to detail, and determination to help the city grow.  He served on the Lampasas City Council after retirement.  

He attended Grace Fellowship Church of Lampasas and enjoyed golfing, fishing, ranching, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Randy is survived by his wife, Sherri; son, Travis Clark and wife, Jeni; grandchildren, Emma, Hudson, and Kennedy; brother, Larry and wife, Treva; sister-in-law, Glenda Poulos; sister-in-law, Judy Smith, and husband, Kenneth; mother-in-law, Mary Juby, and many other family members and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence (Lum) and ZuElla, and brother, Gary.

Randy especially will be remembered for his fiery spirit and passionate heart.

Visitation with the family is Tuesday, February 14 at 1 pm at Grace Fellowship Church in Lampasas.  Memorial services will be held after the visitation at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grace Fellowship Church Children's building fund.
