Ramon Villegas, 85, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, at his daughter's home in Fort Worth, Texas. Ramon was born on January 7, 1939, in Mexico to Ramon Villegas and Paulina Hernandez.
A Catholic Mass service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 10 am. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Ramon grew up in Mexico and began work for Pampco Plastic Arts in Lampasas as a molder until the company closed its doors. Ramon was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church since his arrival in Lampasas, TX in 1968.
Ramon met and married the love of his life Ana Maria Hernandez in 1960 in Mexico. They were happily married for 47 years. Ramon enjoyed his self-taught mechanics as a hobby. He loved helping people and would never turn anyone away without lending a helping hand with their vehicles that needed repair.
Ramon was preceded in death by his wife, Ana Maria Villegas, his father, Ramon Villegas, his mother, Paulina Hernandez, his sons, Bernardino Salazar, Sr., Juan Carlos Valdez and his great-granddaughters, Veronica Barazell, Yasmine Padilla, and Monica Lezete.
Ramon is survived by his children, Ramona and Robert Rivera, Guadalupe Soto, Ana Maria and Ruben Fernandez, Rosa and Ricardo Rivera, Ramon Villegas, Jr. and Sara Villegas, Maria and Craig Lindsey and Jessie Villegas; 35 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
