Patricia Anne McGarry (76) of Lometa Texas, died November 14, 2017, shortly after 9:00 PM, due to complications following respiratory surgery at Scott & White Hospital in Temple Texas. Open Funeral services and interment are scheduled on November 19th 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at grave side, Lometa City Cemetery with the Rev. Barbara Dyke officiating. The Service is open to the public, and Floral arrangements can also be sent prior to Sneed Funeral Chapel of Lampasas. Mrs. McGarry was born in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of Bruce DeWitt and June Gowdy. Patricia met, and later married her husband of 45 years Mr. Charles Michael McGarry, who precedes her in death. In 1975, Mrs. McGarry began a career with the United States Government as a civil service employee; A career which spanned Thirty Years in two continents. Mrs. McGarry Retired from Civil Service after her final position working in the Civilian Personnel Offices at the Headquarters, US Army Command Europe in Heidelberg, Germany. Survivors include sons, Charles Jr. and wife, Monique, of Washington DC, James and wife, Sanela, of Harker Heights, Patrick and wife, Amanda, of Nolanville; a daughter, Mary Hicks, and husband, Jimmy, of Bend; 12 grandchildren, Robert, Sara, John, Georgia, Kaitlyn, Charlie III, Ismar, Maximillian, Catherine, Hayden, Ian and Mackenzie; 3 great grandchildren, Persaius, Damian, and Preston; a brother, James McGarry and wife, Sandra, of Prescott, Arizona; and Chad Lyons, of Austin All who knew you were touched by your warmth and kindness, and your memory will remain everlasting in the hearts of your family and friends.
