Ottilie Goldsborough, 79, of Copperas Cove passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 9:00 AM at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel in Copperas Cove with burial following at 2:30 PM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
Ottilie was born on November 7, 1933 in Czechoslovakia to the late Franz and Barbara Schiffert Dietz. Her family moved to Germany when she was a child and later served the local communities as a midwife before she married. She met John Elmer Goldsborough in Germany while he was serving in the United States Army. They married in 1958 and she served as a faithful military spouse and devoted mother and Oma. After retirement they settled in Copperas Cove, Texas in 1988. She will be remembered for her devotion to God and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
She is survived by her children, John A. Goldsborough and wife Diane, Barbara M. Goldsborough, Patricia Sarhani, Charles Goldsborough; brother, Franz Dietz; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
