Nicole Kristine Harris, a remarkable young woman whose warmth and determination touched the lives of many, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2024, in Houston, Texas at the tender age of 22. Born on November 14, 2001, in Northampton, England, Nicole was a beacon of light and acceptance, embracing all people and their beliefs with an open heart.

From her early years, Nicole's tenacity set her apart. As a determined child, she learned the value of hard work, which blossomed into a life driven by aspiration. This spirit led her to make the bold decision to move to Houston on her own, seeking opportunities to better herself and make a meaningful impact in the world around her. A proud graduate of the University of Houston, Nicole earned her Bachelors Degree in Corporate Communication with a minor in Religious Studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Her education was not only a testament to her intelligence, but also to her desire to deepen her understanding of diverse cultures and faiths.

Nicole was actively involved in her community, becoming a cherished member of Houston Hillel, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Jewish community. She had recently transitioned into living at a Moishe House, a vibrant charitable space where she continued to share her love for inclusivity and connection with others. Her strong faith guided her through life and was demonstrated in her desire to explore and expand her understanding of religion and culture, including a profound journey to Israel.

Despite her all too brief time on this earth, Nicole left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a loving and accepting friend, often going out of her way to ensure that others felt welcome and cherished. Nicole brought joy and kindness not only to her friendships but to every interaction, serving as a source of inspiration to those around her.

Nicole is survived by her parents, Lee and Michele; siblings, Laura, Emily, and Elias; all of her Texas and England Family; and her devoted friends, who will forever treasure the memories made and the lessons learned from her time with them. Her unexpected departure leaves a void that can never be filled; she will be loved and missed by all.

Nicole’s graveside service will be held on September 30, 2024, at the Copperas Cove City Cemetery at 11:00 AM. As we gather to celebrate her life, we will remember her remarkable spirit, her passionate dedication to her studies, and her unwavering love for those around her. Gone too soon, Nicole Kristine Harris has left a legacy of love and understanding that will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to Houston Hillel in memory of Nicole.
