Nancy Young

Nancy Young, age 74, of Kempner passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Temple. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM at Scott's Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.
Nancy was born on March 2, 1942 in Oakland, CA to the late Bob and Georgia McCrea Oyen. She graduated from Austin High School in 1959. After high school she began her Civil Service career and eventually became an Environmental Protection Specialist in Germany. In 1989 she married Everett Young while in Germany before moving back to Texas in 2000. Nancy was an avid reader and had a soft spot in her heart for animals.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Everett Young; daughter, Tari Brewer and husband, Ted; son, Don Jensen and wife, Susan; sister, Ellen Senkel and husband, Ronnie; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many friends.
