Joseph H. Morrison, age 71, passed away surrounded by his family in Copperas Cove on Thursday, October 17, 2019. Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon, Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Scott's Funeral Home with burial following at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.

Joe was born on April 21, 1948, in Louisville, KY to the late Gilbert and Sylvia Underwood Morrison. At an early age, he joined the United States Army and served five tours during the Vietnam Conflict and two other combat zones. He retired with 21 years of service and earned many awards and medals including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star with Valor. Joe worked for Lockheed Martin and Dyncorp as Aviation Support. In his spare time, he loved to take his children and grandchildren fishing. Joe also enjoyed supporting the Dallas Cowboys win or lose. Joe married Linda Blanton on March 26, 1968.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Jacob Travis and Jeremiah Tanor Morrison; and his twin brother, William Morrison.

Joe is survived by his wife, Linda Blanton Morrison;  two sons, Joseph Todd Morrison and wife, Pam, Rev. Joshua Trever Morrison and wife, Betsy; brother, Glenn Rocque Morrison; six grandchildren, Jesika, Joseph, Joshua, Jordan, Jude and Johnathan and several nieces and nephews.
