Milton McDonald Jr., affectionately known as MAC, passed away in Texas on October 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 27, 1971, in Texas, Milton's life was a testament to resilience, faith, and boundless love for those around him. He dedicated an impressive 22 years and 3 months to serving in the United States Army, where he was honored with numerous notable awards, including the Army Accommodation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with campaign star. His skills and bravery earned him accolades in Airborne, Jungle warfare, and air assault, highlighting a distinguished military career marked by commitment and sacrifice.

Milton’s positive spirit, strong faith, and vibrant smile illuminated the lives of everyone he encountered. He was known for his stubbornness and hardheadedness, often demonstrating an unwavering determination to help others. A beloved Leader, coach, mentor, and friend, Milton instilled values of teamwork and perseverance in every child he guided through wrestling, football, baseball, and t-ball. His legacy is embedded in the hearts of many, and his willingness to give the shirt off his back exemplified his selflessness.

Milton cherished family gatherings, becoming known for his joyful barbecues. He brought people together for every occasion, and he was delighted to serve various nontraditional dishes. A passionate cook, he created an atmosphere of laughter and love among friends and family. His love for reading the Bible was a cornerstone of his spirituality, reflecting his earnest belief in caring for others and living a service life.

He is survived by his father Milton McDonald Sr, sister Sharon McDonald; his devoted spouse, Cleo McDonald; his son, William McDonald, and partner, Jessica Ewellsen, and their children  Jasmine Ewellsen, Remi Ewellsen, and Elias Ewellsen; his daughter Jordan McDonald Barberena with son-in-law David Barbera and thier children Alejandro and Allannah Barberena; his daughter Ariel McDonald Shumaker with son-in-law Trae Shumaker and thier child Evangeline Shumaker; his sons Ishaani McDonald; Detriveon McDonald; and Exevion McDonald. His love for his family was unwavering, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.

Milton is predeceased by his beloved twins, Miquestance and Mikalaya McDonald, his sister Tanya McDonald, his mother, Diane Bradford, and his stepmother, Treabie McDonald. Daniel Welsh, his father-in-law, also remembers him.

A visitation to honor Milton's life will be held on October 28, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Copperas Cove Location in Copperas Cove, Texas. This will be followed by a funeral service on October 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM, also at the Copperas Cove Location, with a graveside service at 3:00 PM at the Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Milton McDonald Jr. leaves a legacy of love, compassion, and strength. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him, and his life will continue to inspire generations.
