Michael Rizzo

Michael Lance Rizzo, 51 of Gatesville, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Memorial Services will be on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 12:00 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1410 S. 2nd Street, Killeen, Texas 76541. No burial services will follow.

He was born March 17, 1966, in Saint Louis, Missouri to August and Anita Rizzo. Mr. Rizzo was raised in Killeen, Texas, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Ellison High School, Killeen, Texas, and then received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University where he also played football. He received his post-graduate Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) from Texas Tech University. Mr. Rizzo’s legal career of over 20 years was highlighted by employment with the Law Office of Martha Trudo, the Law Office of Michael F. White and the Law Office of Brett H. Pritchard. At the time of his death, he was proudly serving as an Assistant County Attorney of Coryell County, Texas.

Mr. Rizzo was preceded in death by both of his parents.

He is survived by his brother, Mark Rizzo and wife, Rhonda of Killeen, Texas;  his sisters, Lori Somers and husband, John of Killeen, Texas, Kelly Rizzo of Kingston, Tennessee; his nieces, Ashley Rizzo, Heather Rizzo, Samantha Everett and Morgan Somers; his nephews, Jay Lornson, Cameron Rizzo and Cole Rizzo; and his great-nieces, Amelia Vetter and Beth Everette. All of whom he was proud of and loved dearly and they him.

Mr. Rizzo was loved and respected by all and will be truly missed.
