Michael Lee Jones, 49, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, in Torrance, California. He was born on January 21, 1973, in Wiesbaden, Germany to Roy Jones and Ute (Shonburger) Richardson. Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11 am with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Rock Church Cemetery in Rumley, TX. Michael grew up in Copperas Cove, Texas, where he graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1991. After high school, he joined the Army in 1991 and served for 6 years. He was discharged in 1997, achieving the rank of Sergeant. After the military, he spent the next 20 years in the medical field working as a medical assistant, healthcare administrator, and even co-owning a chiropractic practice. During this time, he attended Ashford University where he earned his bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration in 2016. In 2017, he began his career in education where he served as a director of career services, and ultimately, campus director at a technical college. Michael married Isabel in 1991 in Copperas Cove, Texas and they were happily married for 30 years and shared three beautiful children together. He enjoyed golf, Dallas Cowboys football, and grilling, but most of all he enjoyed being surrounded by his family. He never met a stranger and was his happiest when he was feeding anyone and everyone. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Jones, Ute Richardson, and step-father, WC Richardson. Survivors include his wife, Isabel of Lampasas; his daughters, Mariah Jones-Clark of Lampasas, Breanna (Kacey) Tucker of Lampasas; his son, Anthony Jones of Lampasas; his grandchildren, Kinsley Clark and Jaxon Tucker; his sisters, Stefanie (Mike) Nott, Trisha (Scott) Ulch, and Gina (Helmut) Narr; his brothers, Terry Knese, Eric (Tammy) Jones; brother-in-law, Rene Garza; his nieces, Paige Jones, and Gabriella Garza; nephews, Eric Jones, Andrew Jones, Joshua Brown, and Eric Nott.
