Michael Claude Hubert, 64, of Austin, Texas passed away on September 9, 2020.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Viss Family Funeral Home, 1614 S. FM 116, in Copperas Cove, Texas with Mr. Cedric Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Viss Family Funeral Home.The family has asked that we adhere to social distancing measures and wear a face mask throughout the visitation and service.
Michael was born in Austin, Texas to Solomon Hubert and Dorothy Blaylock on March 14, 1956. He enlisted in the United States Army after graduating from Lanier High School in 1976. He married Linda Clark, the love of his life, over 40 years ago on December 22, 1976, in Austin, Texas.
As a veteran, he served in the United States Army as a Telecommunications Operations Noncommissioned Officer. He and his family traveled around the country and overseas to Europe. They were stationed at Stadecken-Elsheim, Germany; Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas; Schweinfurt, Germany; Fort Lewis, Washington; Fort Hood, Texas; Hanau, Germany and he did a tour at Camp Stanley, Korea.
Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Verlina Hutchins; and a brother, Anthony Norfleet.
Michael is survived by his wife, Linda. Born from their marriage were three children, Katisha Clark, MSgt (Ret.), USAF, Michael Clark, MSG, USA, and Dorothy Hubert, SFC, USA. Other children are Jaleesa Mack, Taneka Hubert, Darien Hubert, Anitria Hubert, and Solomon Hubert; his brother, Castamel Alexander; his Aunt Shirley Blaylock; and his grandchildren, Elijah, Michael Jr., McKenzie, and Dwayne Jr.
The pallbearers are Nathaniel Blaylock Sr, Antowain Hubert, Nathaniel Blaylock Jr. and Terrell Hunter.
The family of Michael and Linda Hubert wish to extend their sincere appreciation to Cedric Clark, Nathaniel Blaylock Sr, Antowain Hubert, Nathaniel Blaylock Jr., Terrell Hunter, and family and friends for their support, thoughts, and prayers.
