Melody Ann Hollevoet Dalton

Melody Ann Hollevoet Dalton, 56, of Lampasas, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 6 pm to 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 11 am with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. 

Melody was born December 31, 1964, in Wichita Falls, TX to Wayne Jerrold and Shirley Fay (Harrison) Hollevoet.  She grew up in many places but her favorites were Bangkok, Thailand, and Portland, Oregon before moving to Austin, TX.  Melody graduated from Crockett High School in Austin, TX, in 1983.  She had many professions but was known in Lampasas for the loving care of residents at Regal Nursing and Rehab where she worked in Human Resources.

Melody married Jesse and they were happily married for 38 years.  She had a passion for people and it showed through her love and caring of everyone that she met.  She loved to cook and loved her big Sunday dinners with her family.  She loved late-night movie watching and spontaneous trips to the beach with her husband to watch the sunrise.

Melody was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Fay, and her older brother, Robert Dean (Bobby).

Survivors include her husband, Jesse of Lampasas, TX; her son, Joshua Dalton of Belton, TX; her son, Eric Dalton (Laura) of Lampasas, TX; her daughter, Evette (Hunter) Bowen of Lampasas, TX; her son, Dakota (Sarah) Dalton of Lampasas; her daughter, Jessica (David) Dalton of Lampasas; her daughter, Dorothy Dalton of Lampasas; father, Wayne Jerrold Hollevoet of Austin; brother, Wayne (Anna) Hollevoet of Austin; sister, Janette Hollevoet of Lampasas; grandchildren, Keenan, Eryka, Alexzander, Kyle, Tyler, Jack, Mackinzie, Shelby, Waylon; great-granddaughters, Serenity and Ellyka Jean and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
