Melissa (Mo Mo) Jordan

Melissa D. (Mo Mo) Jordan, 63 of Lampasas, Texas died July 12, 2019 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital. She was born August 28, 1955 in Lampasas to parents Charles Marshall Newton and Vera I. (Menefee) Newton. She grew up in Lampasas and finished school here with the class of 1973. Melissa worked in various food service positions with the local food plant, HEB and finally with Country Kitchen. She attended Naruna Baptist Church. She loved growing flowers, deer hunting, fishing, going to BBQ cookoffs. She enjoyed sharing recipe ideas and cooking for family and friends. She is survived by husband, Lee Jordan Twin daughters, Tracy and Trisha Pugh Sons, Colton Jordan (Jessica) Emmett Pugh Jr. (Shelly) Mother, Vera Newton Sister, Debra Cattles (Kenneth) Grandchildren; Genie Hill (Matt), Missie Morgan, McKenzie Jordan Great-granddaughter, Elara Mae Hill Neice, Keri Roseberry (Warren) Nephew, Kenneth Cattles Jr. (Bonnie)   Melissa was preceded in death by her Father, Charles Newton.    Funeral service will be Tuesday July 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Naruna Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.   Family requests memorials be sent to the Naruna Cemetery Association.
