Mary Lou Porter

Mary Lou Porter, also known affectionately as Lou Lou, was a woman whose life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on May 28, 1954, in Princeton, KY, Mary embodied kindness and generosity throughout her journey. Her passing on February 7, 2024, in Copperas Cove, TX came as she peacefully rested in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of her family.

Mary's spirit was defined by her unwavering devotion to her loved ones. She held an unconditional love for her family and friends, always offering a kind heart and a warm smile to those in need. Her playful laugh could brighten any room and uplift the spirits of everyone fortunate enough to share in her laughter.

One of Mary's passions was creating cherished moments through family and friend gatherings. Whether it was organizing road trips or sharing coconut cream pies during the holidays, she understood the importance of fostering connections and making lasting memories. Alongside gardening, Mary enjoyed the thrill of treasure hunting during garage sales and eagerly welcomed the opportunity to partake in barbecues with loved ones. Mary's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her loving marriage to Kenneth Porter. For 36 years, they nurtured a bond built on unwavering commitment and unconditional love. Together they walked hand in hand through life's highs and lows, sharing their hearts with each other as well as their children and grandchildren.

Mary leaves behind a legacy that will forever be remembered by her surviving family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband Kenneth Porter, her daughter Christina Crosby and son-in-law Eric Crosby, her son Joseph Bourdage, her daughter Michelle Williams and son-in-law John Williams, her son Justin Bourdage, her daughter Jennifer Sims and son-in-law Jace Sims. Mary's smile will continue to shine through the lives of her grandchildren: Kayle Crosby, Evan Williams, Emily Crosby, Jason Bourdage, Jacob Boyer, Tyler Bourdage, Ethan Williams, Matthew Crosby, and James Sluder.

Mary Lou Porter's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but the love she shared and the memories she created will forever resonate in our hearts.
