Mary Donna Foster

July 7, 1948 — July 31, 2024

Lampasas

Donna Foster, beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away on July 31, 2024.

She was the best at everything she did and was loved by each of us close to her.  Stubborn to the end, she left us in shock that she wasn't immortal after all.  She was smart, determined, and entrepreneurial, and made it easy to love and admire her.  She leaves us with a million beautiful memories that will live in our hearts forever.

Mary Donna Fuller was born to Paul C. and JoAnne Stone Fuller in Waco, Texas.  She, and her two sisters, Debbie and DeAnna, were raised there in Waco.  She moved to Dallas to forge a terrific career managing a large hotel near Love Field. In Dallas, she met the true love of her life, Tommy Joe Foster, who was in his family's car business.  Together, they shopped for the perfect small town to begin their lives together, and found their home in Lampasas.  Together, they started Texas Vehicles, Man of The House, A Way With Words, and Sisters and Friends.  They found happiness, good friends, and the kind of life they were searching for.  Donna and Tommy also spent a few great years living in Ruidoso, NM but came back home to Lampasas.  There were terrific road trips, concerts, flea markets, garage sales, family times, fun at Th' Land, much-loved dogs, and just living and loving every single day.  She guided us through losing parents, friends, and family and found humor in the saddest of times.  She would expect us to do the same.

Many are left to forge on without her, though she will continue to inspire us.  Her darling Tommy, the extended Foster and Fuller families, as well as a host of precious friends who have shared and supported one another through thick and thin.  The amazing Hospice angels and the entire community of friends in Lampasas have lovingly provided a soft place to land.
