Mario Joel Gill

Mario Joel Gill, 61 of Lampasas, TX died Monday January 14, 2019 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen. He was born April 12, 1957 in Lampasas, TX to parents Alfonso Gill and Leonila (Reyes) Gill. Mario grew up in Lampasas and graduated high school here. He attended and graduated from SWTSU (now Texas State) with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. He worked throughout the state of Texas in a variety of roles mostly in sales. Most recently Mario was working at Hoffpauir in car sales. He loved to hunt, fish, play golf and cook. Mario was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he was a part of the Knights of Columbus. He had obtained his pilot’s license. He is survived by his Mother, Leonila Gill of Lampasas Sister, Leigh Raemsch (Gary) of Cedar Creek Brothers; Fendro Gill of Haslett Dave Gill (Cari) of Round Rock Nieces and nephews; Mason, Tanner, Cody, Zuker, Zachary, Cooper, Aaron, Lance, Hillari and Holly.   Mario was preceded in death by his Father, Alfonso Gill.   Funeral Mass will be Friday January 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Rosary will be recited Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
