Marian Louise Wendling, age 83, of Copperas Cove passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Marian was born on November 23, 1935, in Loudonville, Ohio to the late Raymond and Geraldine Miller Peters. She graduated from Loudonville High School. On August 28, 1954, she married Edward Wendling in Perrysville, Ohio. After Ed joined the United States Army in 1957, they moved to many different places, raising their daughter Brenda along the way. Marian worked for a time as the secretary of the flying club while the couple was stationed at Fort Knox. She took full advantage of her opportunities while employed there and learned to pilot planes as well. Marian worked at Sears for 22 years, helping to open the Sears location in the Killeen Mall.
After working for many years, Marian enjoyed spending time in her later years, volunteering at the Copperas Cove Public Library, being a member of her Bunco group, and participating as a member of the Red Hatters. In 2003, Ed and Marian decided they would load up in their RV and travel around the United States with their dog, Coco. They were members of the Texas Ramblers RV Club and enjoyed RV-ing with their friends for many years.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Darlene, Janice, and Beverly.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Brenda Lozano and husband, Eduardo; two sisters, Ramona Purcell and Vivian Wendling; her beloved granddaughters, Victoria Coy and husband, David, and Sofia Lozano.
