Margit "Susie" Childress

Susie Childress, age 79, of Kempner passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in Copperas Cove. A private Memorial Graveside will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Susie was born on November 7, 1939, in Pommern region of Germany to the late Wilhelm and Erna Gerdazierke Radtke. She married Kenneth Childress Berlin, Germany on July 25, 1961. Susie took pride in being a loving and nurturing wife and mother to her family. She supported her husband during his 40 plus years in the military and his career as a peace officer. Later in life, her joy was her grandchildren.

Susie is survived by her son, Sean Childress and wife, Jill; grandchildren, Haley and Zackary; and her cousins, Reinhard and Dagmar Kranz of Germany.
