Luis G. Torres

August 21, 1936 — March 15, 2019

Louis G. Torres, passed away on March 15th, 2019.  He was the son of Celestino (Frank) and Guillerma (Willie) Torres.  He was born in Lometa, Tx August 21st, 1936.  Louis enjoyed going to Church on Sundays, he was a devoted Catholic.  After Church on Sundays, Louis enjoyed coming home to "Grandma Toni's Kitchen", to eat breakfast.  He loved being surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He enjoyed watching the kids play together, he never got tired of the company of his family.  Family was important to him and he made sure all his children knew that and instilled it in them.  He loved to go watch his grandchildren play sports, he was their  #1 fan.  Louis married Antonia Coronado (Toni) on July 3rd, 1960.  They were married for 58 yrs and were blessed with 8 children.   Louis was a seasonal worker..from hauling hay, to shearing sheep, building fences, working in the bean and sugar beet fields, picking pecans and his passion for selling watermelons. Dad was a hard worker, he wasn't afraid to work, so that he could provide for his family.   He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Willie Torres, daughter Ermalinda Torres, son George Torres, Son-in-Law Joey Wagner and Great Grandson Pablo Torres.  He is survived by his wife Antonia (Toni) Torres, his 6 children daughter Emma Wagner of Lometa,Tx, son David and wife Edna Torres of Lometa,Tx, son Martin and wife Carmen Torres of New Boston, Tx, son John Torres of Lometa, Tx, daughter Tonya Torres of Lometa, Tx and  daughter Theresa Livesay of Lometa, Tx, 15 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.  God Rest his Soul   Rosary is Monday March 18, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Mass is Tuesday March 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lometa. Burial will follow in Senterfitt Cemetery.   Fr. James Harnan MSC will be officiating
